B Kind was founded in 2008 by Jennifer Mulhall and Jodie Keogh who have both worked together in the cosmetic industry, both were State Managers for companies based in NSW, and through that became extremely aware of the ingredients we put on our skin and how these products in turn effect our health, the end consumer and the environment.
Finding skin care, hair care, cosmetics, perfumes and baby skin care with a 'conscience', 'that really worked' and 'did not compromise on style' all in the one place proved very difficult here in Australia.
So Jodie and Jennifer set out on a mission - to bring together a collection of the worlds best organic and natural beauty products from Australia and overseas. "We want our customers to not only look and feel great but you would know that are doing something good for your person and the environment".
We wanted to create a beautiful store where people know all of the homework on the products has been done.
Most people don't realise that your skin can absorb up to 60% of what you put on it and over a life time that adds up. People are definitely becoming more aware of what they are using and where it comes from.
B Kind also dedicates a large section of the store to supporting local women in business who have developed some of the best organic skin care and cosmetic ranges, but haven't really had anywhere to "showcase" them.
B Kind only do business with brands that share same ethical values and commitment to minimising their impact on the environment, we do not tolerate animal testing, unfair trade practices, genetically engineered ingredients or any harmful chemicals whatsoever in our products!

At B Kind we are supporters of the "Palm Oil Action Group" and actively campaign against the use of non-sustainable Palm Oil in the Toiletries, Cosmetics and Food Industry, incase you were wondering this is a cheap ingredient that is used to instantly harden soaps, instead of waiting 4 months for them to cure, and is often disguised under the name of glycerin for cosmetics and bath products or vegetable oil for food products, palm is the worlds second most produced oil behind the soybean, the dark side of this is that the only places on the planet you can grow palm trees to harvest the fruit for oil is in a tropical climate, so most of the forest in Indonesia, Malaysia and Borneo are being decimated to grow Palm Oil Plantations, this means that without their forest homes orangutans along with many other species will be extinct in 10 years, not to mention it is the worst type of saturated food oil you can ingest. Yes - sadly its true!
